Jackie In 1942 KC Paper
I was researching the Monarchs 1942 season when I came across the below photo of Private Jackie Robinson serving at Fort Riley, Kansas. The photo ran three years before he became a Monarch, and is further evidence of the national notoriety he had gained as a multiple-sport star at UCLA.
